Best to touch Cyclone V SoC FPGA first

 Altima Corporation（1-5-5, Shin-Yokohama, Kouhoku-ku, Yokohama, 222-8563 JAPAN,President：Akinobu Miyoshi）today announced development of Cyclone V SoC Base Board which is loaded with Altera's innovative product, 28nm Cyclone® V SoC FPGA. Altima also announced Macnica group will execute training using this board from May in the whole world.

 Nowadays, in the electric equipment market, FPGA is adopted rapidly on the enormous end product to reduce development schedule and work flexibly for specification changes. In this condition, FPGA have been continued to evolve. Now, FPGA has high speed transceiver block, high performance DSP block and high performance external memory interfaces. FPGA user should have variousknowledge and skills to optimize FPGA's feature and performance.

Cyclone V SoC FPGA integrated an ARM-based processor system consisting of processor, peripherals, and memory interfaces with the FPGA fabric is innovative device, this will enable not only existing FPGA users but also users using CPU or DSP touch. Therefore, our board concept is to have customer experience SoC FPGA easily using our board and get knowledge to design SoC FPGA.

To attain this objective, Altima offers low cost and user-friendly development kit. Altima also offer some reference design to use peripheral attached the board and continue to add. These reference designs enable users reduce human resource and evaluation period for evaluating SoC FPGA.

Altima adopted Linear Technology's high performance power ICs, IDT's clock and timing IC and WürthElektronik passive components. Altima will offer comprehensive technical and sales support including Altera FPGAs and these components for the board users.
